Introduction

Welcome to the Busoga One Radio Management System (BORMS) Presenter Guide. This document is specifically designed to help on-air presenters (DJs) navigate the system to access their schedules, review approved mentions, manage on-air content, and report on completed broadcasts.

As a presenter, your role is crucial in delivering approved content to listeners. BORMS provides you with the tools to efficiently manage your on-air responsibilities and ensure all paid mentions are delivered as scheduled.

Getting Started

Logging In

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the BORMS login page
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Click "Log In"
  4. On first login, you will be prompted to change your initial password
  5. For security, use a strong password and change it regularly

Presenter Dashboard

After logging in, you will see your personalized dashboard:

  • Today's Schedule: Your upcoming programs for the day
  • Pending Mentions: Approved mentions scheduled for your shows
  • Urgent Notices: Important announcements from management
  • Recent Activity: History of your recent on-air deliveries
  • Quick Links: Shortcuts to frequently used sections

Managing Your Schedule

Viewing Your Program Schedule

  1. From your dashboard, click "My Schedule"
  2. By default, today's schedule is displayed
  3. Use the calendar view to navigate to other dates
  4. Each scheduled program shows:
    • Start and end times
    • Program name and description
    • Co-presenters (if applicable)
    • Special notes from Programming

Program Details

Click on any scheduled program to view detailed information:

  • Program description and format guidelines
  • Clock format and segment breakdown
  • Special features or segments
  • Guest information (if applicable)
  • Links to program-specific resources

Managing Mentions

Viewing Today's Mentions

  1. From your dashboard, click "Today's Mentions"
  2. The system displays all mentions scheduled for your programs
  3. Mentions are sorted by scheduled time
  4. The list includes:
    • Scheduled time
    • Client name
    • Mention title
    • Duration
    • Status (pending, aired, missed)

DJ Mentions Overview

DJ Mentions are a critical revenue stream for the station. They must be delivered exactly as approved and at the scheduled times to maintain client satisfaction and legal compliance.

Preparing for On-Air Delivery

Before your show:

  1. Review all mentions scheduled for your program
  2. Click on each mention to read the full script
  3. Listen to any attached audio files
  4. Note special instructions or pronunciation guides
  5. Sort mentions by time to plan your delivery sequence

Mention Details

Click on any mention to see its complete details:

  • Full mention script
  • Client information
  • Payment details
  • Audio file (if attached)
  • Special instructions
  • Approval history
  • Schedule information

Managing Mention Delivery

During your show:

  1. Keep the "Today's Mentions" page open for reference
  2. Use the "Now" tab to see mentions coming up in the next hour
  3. Follow the approved script exactly as written
  4. After reading a mention on-air, click "Mark as Aired"
  5. Add any notes about the delivery if needed

Handling Missed Mentions

If you are unable to deliver a mention as scheduled:

  1. Click on the mention
  2. Select "Mark as Missed"
  3. Provide a reason for the missed delivery
  4. The system will notify management automatically
  5. The mention may be rescheduled for a later broadcast

Program Reports

Completing Program Reports

After your program ends:

  1. Navigate to "My Programs" → "Submit Report"
  2. Select the completed program
  3. Complete the required fields:
    • Program summary
    • Guest information (if applicable)
    • Technical issues encountered
    • Listener interaction summary
    • Content played (if required)
  4. Submit the report for review

Viewing Past Reports

To review your previous program reports:

  1. Go to "My Programs" → "Past Reports"
  2. Filter by date range or program name
  3. Click on any report to view or download it
  4. Check for management feedback or comments

Content Library

Accessing Program Content

For pre-produced content or resources:

  1. Navigate to "Content Library"
  2. Filter by program or content type
  3. Preview content before your show
  4. Download required files for your program
  5. Check last modified dates to ensure you have the latest versions

Upload Program Materials

If you create content for your programs:

  1. Go to "Content Library" → "Upload"
  2. Select the program the content belongs to
  3. Upload your audio files or documents
  4. Add relevant metadata (title, description, tags)
  5. Submit for approval if required

Communication Tools

Internal Messages

To communicate with other staff:

  1. Click "Messages" in the main navigation
  2. Start a new conversation or continue existing ones
  3. Add attachments if needed
  4. Use the @ mention feature to tag specific users
  5. Check messages regularly for updates from management

Announcements and Notices

For station-wide communications:

  1. Check the "Announcements" section on your dashboard
  2. Important notices are highlighted with priority indicators

Mention Delivery
